Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Brad Friedel has praised the impact manager Mark Hughes has had on the Ewood Park club.

Friedel has missed just one and a half matches in Hughes' three-year reign at the club and he feels the former Manchester United striker has created a real buzz around the club.

The USA international told the club's official website: "We expect to win, we expect to get something even from places like Chelsea.

"Our training sessions have a buzz about them and we have a lot of very confident players in the changing room.

"We also have players that if they do make a mistake or have a bad game they can bounce back the next game because that is what the character is like."
