Blackburn have won the race to sign Arsenal youngster Jason Banton. Manchester City were also keen on the England youth international striker after he opted to leave the Gunners.

"Jason has signed with us and we are delighted to have him here," Rovers managing director Tom Finn told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"He's a young England international, playing a year above his own age group."
