The 27-year-old was asked if his move to Milan in the summer was a surprise for Slovenian football.
"Indeed, but isn't a life full of surprises, positive and also negative ones? In my career, I have been involved in both one and the other.
"But the fact is that at Milan we are also playing football pure and simple, there is not that much difference than at other clubs, and to be here you have to work hard, as you do everywhere else.
"My run in the first team? At other clubs I had played a good game and then had been benched for the next match.
"Fortunately it has been different at Milan, my confidence has grown a lot and I have been able to show what I am capable of.
"I am training the same way as I did before I came to Milano. Some things [have improved] and because of that I feel good.
"Not much has changed though. I am still the same footballer, with the same work-rate. You always try to do your best, sometimes it goes right and sometimes not."
