Birmingham City midfielder Fabrice Muamba insists they're "mentally tough" enough after Sunday's collapse at Aston Villa.
Muamba said: "I think we are mentally tough enough, just sometimes - and this happened a lot this season - we're great one week then we're not great the next.
"It's been a lack of consistency. Mentally we are strong and we have a young team and hopefully we can learn."
Whether Blues were that bad or Villa that good, Muamba shrugged: "In a way, you can say they are a good side but we could have done much more. We gave them too much respect and didn't play to our best."
