Birmingham City striker Mikael Forssell is full of praise for Fulham boss Roy Hodgson.

Hodgson worked with Forssell as Finland manager and the striker said: "Roy has got a great CV and I rate him a lot. He was our national team manager and he was perfect for us because he knows the Scandinavian way of thinking.

"He thinks defensively a lot - unlike managers in this country. He is a different Englishman. He is a very smart dresser. I have never seen him in a tracksuit apart from on the training pitch. He also speaks so many languages. His Swedish is perfect.

"It was a difficult job to take over at Fulham but if I had to put my money on anyone it would be him."
