Birmingham City have been urged to make a move for Fenerbahce midfielder Alex.

The Birmingham Mail says Alex captained Brazil to the 2004 Copa America, but was left out of the 2006 World Cup squad.

Blues decided that it would be too big a gamble to expect him to integrate and adapt quickly to their side and the Premiership.
