Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp is moving for Fulham midfielder Papa Bouba Diop.

Diop, 29, has been told to find a new club by boss Lawrie Sanchez and is available for around £2.5million.

Birmingham are also interested but the 6ft 4in Senegal star reckons Pompey is his best bet, says The Sun.

Redknapp came close to signing Diop three years ago but lost out to Fulham.

He remains a big fan and will offer £18,000 a week plus a chance of bringing European football to Fratton Park next year.
