Birmingham City have expressed an interest in Japanese international defender Yuto Nagatomo, reports the Daily Mail. Italian sides Cesena and Bologna, Spain's Real Mallorca and German club Borussia Dortmund have also shown an interest in the 23 year old.

But the FC Tokyo player says he has long dreamed of playing in the Premier League.

FC Tokyo will hold a meeting next week to discuss Nagatomo's possible transfer.

The blues are keen to recruit a left-back after struggling to tie down a deal for Fulham's Paul Konchesky.
