Championship side Birmingham City have been linked with a move for their former player, West Bromwich Albion midfielder Craig Gardner.

The 30-year-old spent a season with the Blues before joining Sunderland in 2011.

The Daily Mail claims that Birmingham manager Gianfranco Zola is now looking to sign the player on loan until the end of the season.

Gardner has managed only two league starts for Tony Pulis' Baggies this season.
