Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish admits Nikola Zigic's form has been discussed at board level.

Zigic was outstanding in their Carling Cup semifinal triumph over West Ham United.

McLeish admitted that £6.8m striker Nikola Zigic was a big bone of contention for his bosses.

He said: "The board were wondering why he wasn't playing in the first few games.

"Well, it's about adjustment to the game and it takes time with players like him."
