Birmingham City have announced the signing of West Ham midfielder Lee Bowyer.

Bowyer joins Scott Sinclair, Hamuer Bouazza, Keith Fahey and Robin Shroot in moving to St Andrews in January and manager Alex McLeish is delighted to have recruited the experienced player.

"Lee's a dynamic player and I want to bring a dynamic look back to the team," McLeish told the club's official website.

"Roy Aitken, one of my assistants, has worked with him and knows him as an attacking midfielder but he also knows that Lee can give a lot to the team as well."
