Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart is moving to Birmingham City.
The News of World says Hart has a agreed a year-long loan deal with Birmingham to boost his dream of squeezing into Fabio Capello's World Cup squad for South Africa.
The Manchester City keeper is already a key part of the Under-21 side who believe they can win the European Championship in Sweden.
Shay Given's arrival at Eastlands means Hart would have faced a tortuous season on the sidelines. So he is off to St Andrew's to challenge Maik Taylor for the No 1 spot.
Hart said: "The coach has said you need to be playing. That is what you want to be doing anyway, regardless of whether it gets you in the England side."
