David Gold admits that Birmingham have received a number of offers for Olivier Kapo, who is believed to be a target for Wigan and Everton.
Birmingham co-owner Gold acknowledges that the club must tighten their purse strings after slipping into the Championship, but has made it clear that manager Alex McLeish is under no pressure to part with his best players.
"We have received bids for Kapo but we don't need to sell him, and if we do we will replace him like for like," Gold told the Birmingham Post.
"We have a £25million black hole following relegation, and we have to bear that in mind.
"The team that got us relegated is a squad that, in my opinion, is capable of getting us straight back up."
