Newcastle United face a battle to secure Demba Ba to a new contract.

The Daily Express says a host of clubs have been alerted to the fact 26-year-old Ba has a £7million escape clause in his contract.

Newcastle are prepared to offer Ba a new £50,000-a-week contract to stay put, but he will be offered double that amount elsewhere.
