West Ham co-chairman David Gold has hailed Sunday's matchwinner against Michail Antonio.
Antonio stole all the headlines when he netted a late winner against Bournemouth in the first ever Premier League game to be played at London Stadium.
“I was full of emotions following the win over Bournemouth and what a way for us to win the game in the final five minutes with a fantastic goal." Gold told whufc.com.
“It was a great cross from Gokhan and what a header from Michail. I am so pleased for the player who enjoyed being back on the wing and he was there when we needed him.
“He loves the big occasion and is a big player. We talk all the time about Andy Carroll and our wonderful captain Mark Noble over their chances of getting in the England team.
“I am a great supporter of that, but I also feel Michail should be given consideration because he is a special player and worthy of an England opportunity.
“It was a very important victory because we will remember this win in 10 years time – the first Premier League game to be played at London Stadium and it was an historic moment."
