Universidad de Chile midfielder Marco Estrada is being linked with Espanyol.
Chile's Argentine coach Marcelo Bielsa has been in contact with Espanyol boss Mauricio Pochettino about signing Estrada.
Espanyol have already failed with one offer of £1 million and Pochettino must now consider tabling an improved bid.
