Bertrand Traore excited joining Villarreal: I've always wanted to play in LaLiga

Bertrand Traore is delighted joining Villarreal.

The Burkina Faso attacker joined Villarreal as a free agent after being released from his contract at Aston Villa.

At his presentation today, Traore said: "This is a great opportunity for me and I am happy to be in such a great club. In recent months I have had several injuries and now I feel good.

"I come from playing with my country in the African Cup which was when it emerged the opportunity to sign for Villarreal. I am excited and eager to help my teammates.

"I have told my friends that I want to learn Spanish. It is a great opportunity to play in La Liga, a competition that I have always followed. I thought that I would never play here, but now I have the opportunity to demonstrate my level in Spain.

"Some say that my best moment was at Ajax, others that in Lyon or in my first season at Aston Villa. For me the important thing is to be in shape to be able to demonstrate my level on the field. I have already seen the game against Cádiz and I saw the quality he has. I see how the coach wants to play and I think it's a style that suits me well. I have to adapt to the whole environment to give my best as soon as possible."
