Manchester City have demolished Sporting Lisbon with a 5-0 away victory in the first leg of Champions League last-16 tie.
The reigning Premier League champions were simply unstoppable in the Portuguese capital, all but booking their place in the quarter-finals.
Former Benfica star Bernardo Silva was booed every time he touched the ball, but that did not deter him from delivering a masterful performance.
Riyad Mahrez opened the scoring after seven minutes before Silva got his first to make it 2-0.
Phil Foden produced a cool finish to make it three and Silva grabbed City's fourth just before half-time.
Raheem Sterling sealed the demolition with the visitors' fifth goal of the match with more than 30 minutes to play.
Sporting will travel to Manchester for the second leg on Wednesday 16 March.
