Aston Villa's Christian Benteke could miss up three Premier League matches according to Sky Sports.
The Belgian striker missed the weekend's 2-1 loss at Stoke City because of a knee injury and has now been ruled out of the Boxing Day clash with Crystal Palace on Thursday.
It is believed that Benteke could also miss Saturday's home fixture with Swansea City and the New Year's day trip to Sunderland.
Villa boss Paul Lambert said: "He needs to have a wee bit of a rest and treatment. It's not long-term, I'm pretty sure it is not."
