Aston Villa teenage goalkeeper Benjamin Siegrist has welcomed the arrival of Shay Given from Manchester City.
Siegrist, 19, is excited about the prospect of learning his trade alongside the experienced former Manchester City stopper.
"I have met him and he is a nice lad and a great goalkeeper," Siegrist told the Birmingham Mail.
"When I was 10 I was a ball boy for my old club Basel and they played Newcastle in a European game.
"I got to see him play and I threw the ball to him. Now I am here in England training next to him which is fantastic.
"He is one of the greatest keepers in the country and now he is with us and I think everybody is looking forward to seeing him play.
"He is 35, he has got loads of experience in the Premier League and in internationals and I can only learn from him.
"He is a very good shot stopper and he is very keen on training hard. That probably makes the difference between a good keeper and a world class keeper like Shay."
