Benfica are trying to lure Mauricio Pochettino to Portugal.

The Argentine has been unemployed since being sacked by Spurs in November 2019.

He has been linked with a number of clubs, including Newcastle United, Manchester United and Real Madrid.

Record says Pochettino is on Benfica's shortlist after Flamengo boss Jorge Jesus rejected an offer to return to the club.

It is a hopeful interest in Pochettino, who is one of the most respected coaches in Europe, but the Lisbon-based club are hoping a big money package can lure him to the Portugal capital.
