Fabio Coentrao has rebelled against Benfica and flown to Spain in order to close a deal with Real Madrid.
AS says Coentrao refused to join Benfica for their preseason camp in Switzerland, insisting his mind was not focused on the job as he wanted his transfer to Real to be completed.
Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira was also in Madrid yesterday to attempt to close a deal with Real.
Chelsea have tabled a superior offer, but Coentrao only wants to move to the Spanish giants.
The left-back could earn more moving to Chelsea, but Coentrao is determined to get his move to Real. He also rejected Vieira's proposal for Benfica to match Real's contract offer in order for him to stay.
