Benfica are interested in Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

Sporten says Benfica have made contact with Arsenal about a permanent deal for Bendtner, whose career at the Gunners appears to be over.

The 24-year-old was sent out on loan to Sunderland last season and scored 8 goals 30 appearances, and now he looks set for a permanent departure.
