Benfica are eyeing departing Juventus goalkeeper Gigi Buffon.

A Bola says Buffon, 43, is a target for Benfica as he leaves Juve this summer.

The veteran goalkeeper is off contract at the end of next month and keen to play on next season. Buffon wants to close out his career with regular football, which has influenced his decision to leave Turin.

Buffon is open to moving to Benfica, as he has long regarded the Portuguese giants highly.

If Benfica can guarantee Buffon the No1 place next season, he would be keen on moving to Portugal for the new campaign.
