Benched Kante struggles to match Tuchel enthusiasm after Chelsea win

N'Golo Kante struggled to see the light side of Chelsea's 2-0 defeat of Newcastle United last night.

The Daily Mail says Tuchel took to the pitch to congratulate his players after Chelsea's 2-0 win over Newcastle at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

Tuchel couldn't contain his excitement as Timo Werner finally got on the scoresheet again for the first time in 15 Premier League games and Chelsea edged their way back into the top four.

However, N'Golo Kante was somewhat less impressed after the game - having found himself on the bench for the fourth time in five games under the new Chelsea manager.

Kante dominated the second after being substituted on with 21 minutes to go against Newcastle.

He provided an energetic display during their 2-0 win, but showed little enthusiasm after the game when Tuchel went to congratulate him.

The German manager was seen tapping Kante on the chest and cupping his face to suggest he had played well, but the midfielder simply smiled and looked away.
