Blackpool president Valery Belokon has explained why he has faith in Ian Holloway's transfer acumen.
Belokon has revealed how Holloway knocked back one of his summer signings when he was available in January.
Belokon told the Blackpool Gazette: "Back in January, we spoke about Ludovic Sylvestre. I agreed to give more money, £750,000, to buy him.
"Ollie thought and said, 'I'm not ready'. I would have given him the money, so it was a pleasant surprise when he told me he didn't want to do the deal at that point.
"He really understands about things like this and we have since signed Ludovic for a smaller sum.
"I understand that if he asks for money, he needs money. So I have a lot of trust in him. I can trust his judgment."
