Barcelona sports chief Txiki Begiristain has assured fans they're well down the road in negotiations with summer transfer targets.

"Some decisions have already been taken and we're at an advanced stage in negotiations," revealed Begiristain. "We want immediate results."

He was also asked about the character of player they're seeking: "The players must be determined, high-profile, mentally strong and with strong leadership qualities."

It's understood Barca have already agreed personal terms with Bayern Munich fullback Philipp Lahm and Deportivo La Coruna defender Fabricio Coloccini.
