David Beckham's income from endorsements has dropped in his year as an LA Galaxy player. Beckham paid himself and other staff £5.2 million in 2007, 49 percent less than the previous year, according to the accounts released yesterday.
Revenue fell a third straight year to £10.4 million. It doesn't include his $5.5 million base salary and other benefits from the Galaxy, his spokesman Simon Oliveira told Bloomberg.
The revenue is from endorsing Adidas AG, Procter & Gamble Co.'s Gillette and PepsiCo Inc., Oliveira said. Beckham also gets income through Beckham Brand Ltd., which he owns with his wife Victoria, a former pop singer, and 19 Management Ltd., Oliveira added.
