David Beckham's name has been linked with the revival of former US soccer club New York Cosmos.

Following the multi-million dollar purchase by former Tottenham Hotspur executive Paul Kemsley, Beckham has been linked because he has a clause in his contract that allows him to own an MLS team when he retires.

Despite this link, Kemsley said he had not spoken to Beckham in regards to buying in to the proposed revival.

"I have nothing to say right now. In due course, I will. I will say that I didn't buy the whole company to not do something exciting with it in the future," Kemsley said.
