Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez is ready to forget his hopes of joining Liverpool.

Gomez admitted this week a move to Liverpool was blocked by Bayern on transfer deadline day.

Liverpool remain keen ahead of the January market, but Gomez says: "I want to convince the coach that he can count on me soon in games from the start. Hard work is rewarded. I'm sure of that."
