Bayern Munich are stepping up their pursuit of Chelsea fullback Jose Bosingwa.
A series of defensive errors have contributed to a woeful run of form that has seen the German giants win just one of their last four matches.
Eighth in the Bundesliga and keen to strengthen in all areas, chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge specifically warned his defenders: "If we do not get used to controlling our errors in the back four we will have to do business on this.
"We will carefully look into this. We are going to analyse things and then come up with a binding decision."
Bayern have long held an interest in right back Bosingwa, who recently returned from a year out with a knee injury, though Chelsea are unlikely to welcome bids in January given their lack of back-up.
