Bayern Munich are regarded as new favourites for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae.

The South Korea international was expected to join Manchester United this summer.

But transfer expert Fabrizio Romano is reporting Bayern are now closing on a deal for Kim.

Bayern are close to settling on personal terms with Kim and are ready to meet his €60m buyout clause which comes into effect in the first two weeks of July.

United had liked the look of Kim but have been beaten to the punch with Bayern acting fast after Lucas Hernandez informed them he wants to leave.
