Bayern Munich frontrunners to sign Real Madrid's Arsenal target Khedira

German champions Bayern Munich have emerged in pole position to sign Sami Khedira from Real Madrid.

Reports suggest that the Bavarian giants have stepped ahead of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea who have all been heavily linked with the Germany international.

Madrid are prepared to sell Khedira after bringing in Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez this summer and it is believed that Bayern could snap him up on a long-term deal soon.

27-year old Khedira has been with Real since arriving from Stuttgart in 2010 but has struggled with injuries during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
