Bayern Munich confident convincing Schweinsteiger to reject Man Utd, Chelsea
Bastian Schweinsteiger is favouring staying with Bayern Munich.
The Daily Mail says Bayern Munich are confident Schweinsteiger will snub Chelsea and Manchester United to sign a new deal with the Bundesliga champions.
The Barclays Premier League duo - along with Real Madrid - have been carefully watching negotiations between the Germany World Cup star and his bosses at the Allianz Arena.
The 26-year-old is understood to be tempted by a move to England and a January deal had been mooted as he moves towards the final 18 months of his contract.
However, Bayern have been pulling out all the stops with a lucrative new deal till 2016 and are increasingly optimistic Schweinsteiger will sign in the coming weeks.
Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger said: "It doesn’t matter when he signs, just as long as he does and I am confident we can convince him."
