Bayern Munich are digging in their heels over Barcelona's pursuit of young wing-back David Alaba.

The Austria international is emerging as a top target for Barca sports chief Andoni Zubizarreta this summer.

But Bayern chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge warned: "It was a big decision by Jupp Heynckes (to play Alaba this season). Many clubs in Europe are envious.

"I have a good friendship with Barcelona president Sandro Rosell and if he asks for the player my answer would be 'no'."
