Bayer Leverkusen CEO Carro makes clear Xabi plans

Bayer Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro has stated they will be holding onto Xabi Alonso.

The young Spanish manager is wanted by both Bayern Munich and Liverpool this summer.

However, Carro believes that Leverkusen can satisfy Alonso's ambitions in the coming years.

He said, per Fabrizio Romano: "Xabi Alonso has a contract until 2026 and there is no reason to doubt that he will stay here.

“In football you never know what will happen but I have a lot of trust, we have a good relationship."

Alonso is the favorite to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool, while he is also high up on Bayern's list of Thomas Tuchel replacements.
