Joey Barton is set to sign a two-year deal with Scottish club Rangers.
The 33-year-old midfielder has been offered a fresh contract by Premier League returnees Burnley but is expected to snub that and sign with 'Gers in the next day or two.
Barton won Burnley's Player of the Year award in 2015/16 as they won the Championship title but has foregone the chance to again play in England's top flight, despite helping guide the Clarets back to the promised land.
The former Manchester City, Newcastle United, Queens Park Rangers and Marseille man gave the clearest indication yet that he will be signing for Rangers by posting a Tweet that includes lyrics from Rangers' fan anthem 'Penny Arcade'.
Tough decision but it's now made. Onwards and upwards from here. #Rollupandspendyourlastdime

Rangers won the Scottish Championship this recently-completed season and have returned to the Scottish Premiership for the first time since 2012.
