Barnsley closing in on Wolves striker Keogh

Wolves are ready to sell Andy Keogh and Stefan Maierhofer this summer.

Keogh is a £1 million target for Mark Robins' Barnsley.

The Express & Star says it is understood McCarthy needs to move on two strikers this summer in addition to the £500,000 sale of Chris Iwelumo to Burnley, to offset the arrival of £6.5million Steven Fletcher from Turf Moor.

And the seven-figure sale of Keogh - along with probably Maierhofer - would help balance the books.

The striker would relish the double prospect of regular football and a return to Yorkshire, although it's believed the Republic of Ireland international would have been tempted by a second stint at Leeds after their promotion back to the Championship.
