Ross Barkley sees Everton teammate John Stones as a future England captain.

Barkley hit back at Stones' critics insisting he'll win more than 100 caps - and will go on to captain his country.

He said: "At a young age he's a leader at club level so yes, he can become a future England captain. He talks a lot and he leads by example.

"He's not your typical English defender - he's more of a ball-playing centre half.

"He'll probably play for England for the next 10 or 15 years and reach over 100 caps."
