Serie B Bari have sounded out Paolo di Canio about leaving Sunderland.

The Evening Chronicle says Di Canio has turned down the chance to manage Bari, according to sources in Italy.

They are understood to have made Di Canio - and ex-Roma boss Zdenek Zeman - their top target for the job.

But Di Canio has rebuffed the offer in favour of continuing his Sunderland revolution.
