Phil Bardsley is excited to be playing for Stoke City's fans this season.
Bardsley arrived this summer on a Bosman from Sunderland.
He told The Sentinel: "You ask any player and they will tell you how tough it is to come here, so I'm looking forward to being on the home side this time and playing for the fans."
The 29-year-old full back arrives with nearly 200 top-flight games under his belt, but insists he starts afresh at Stoke.
"Hopefully they will appreciate the type of player I am," added Bardsley, "and I'm sure they will judge me on my performances at this football club and not at Sunderland."
