Barcelona whizkid Lamine Yamal has recalled spending more time playing football in the local park than at home.
Yamal has recounted his junior years in a Movistar documentary.
"I remember going out, when I was four years old, to the street with my friends after school, and right in front of my house was Rocafonda Park," he said.
"There I saw my father and my older cousin playing soccer. It was the first moment in which I saw a ball and I fell in love with it. I think I've spent more time in the park than at home.
"Every time I've gone out it's been to play soccer."
The Spain international recalled he even played as a goalkeeper: "Sometimes they hit me in the face, and it didn't hurt me. I didn't cry. I always went home with injuries and my grandmother asked me where I had been. I also remember that when it rained, you fell and got all wet."
Regarding his first moments in the Barca academy, he also laughed: "The first day I didn't even know how to warm up, I didn't know how to do anything. For me it was a very nice start that I remember with great affection. For me it was incredible."
