Barcelona vice-president Rafa Yuste says coach Xavi has the board's full backing.

Xavi is under pressure after failing to guide Barca to the Champions League round of 16.

Yuste said, "Xavi is an incredible coach, a home coach and he knows very well what it means to be a Barça player.

"He has a squad that is going to do it little by little and I am convinced that he is going to give us the titles that this team needs.

"In the end we fight to win and to have titles."

He added: "We are a team, an institution, that always goes out to win and always has to give everything for the fans. From here I once again thank them enormously for this incredible effort that they are showing match after match in the stadium. We are going to compete and try win for the fans and the institution."
