Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic may have to live down his Real Madrid admiration if he's to join Barcelona.

Pjanic is said to have agreed personal terms with Barca ahead of a summer move.

But while with Roma, Pjanic spoke openly of being a fan of Real Madrid and of coach Zinedine Zidane.

"As a child I decided to be a footballer thanks to him. He was the best I had ever seen," he said of Zizou.

In 2013, he was even more blunt, claiming that Real was "his childhood team".

"Who does not dream of playing with them?" declared Pjanic.
