Barcelona star Lionel Messi offered advice to young people at last night's Ballon d'Or gala.

Messi was asked if he had advice for the young people watching the event.

"To be a professional takes many things: hard work, sacrifice, luck ... It's complicated, but I think you should fight for your dreams and fight to the end.

"With much effort and sacrifice anything is possible."
