Barcelona star Lionel Messi is eager to duck comparisons with Argentine legend Diego Maradona.

"There is only one Maradona and there will never be another one," declared Messi.

"It's disrespectful for me to be compared to Diego. It's an honour to be coached by him."

Asked to compare Argentina coach Maradona with his Barca boss Pep Guardiola, Messi added: "They are very similar.

"The two are close to their players, they know a lot about football and also how to transmit their ideas."
