Barcelona star Lionel Messi has told management not to consider offers for Jasper Cillessen.

The Holland goalkeeper has played second fiddle to Marc-Andre ter Stegen this season, but counts on the support of Messi.

There's been suggestions Cillessen could be tempted away this summer after struggling for first team football. However, Don Balon says Messi doesn't want to see him sold.

Messi now has a formal say on transfer policy as part of the new contract he signed earlier this season. And he is insisting Cillessen should stay.

The Argentine fears losing the former Ajax No1 would create an unnecessary problem with no young keeper inside the club ready to step up to fill the void.
