Barcelona captain Carles Puyol insists former coach Frank Rijkaard should be remembered fondly by fans.
The defender told El Mundo Deportivo: "It seems to me natural to be praising the work of (Pep) Guardiola because it's true he is doing well. But it's wrong to suggest that by doing this we're somehow criticising Rijkaard.
"The players were primarily responsible for what went wrong last season, it's too easy to point the finger at others. It's very unfair.
"I learned a lot from him. For me, he's one of the best coaches I've had in my career. I hope that everything goes very well for him. I am convinced that he'll coach again and come back to win a title."
