Barcelona signing Andre Gomes has posted a farewell to former club Valencia.

The Portuguese midfielder wrote on Facebook:

"Thanks to Valencia Football Club for the chance to wear their shirt, to step onto their pitch, to get to know the Mestalla. To the set-up, the technical teams, that always believed in me and motivated me to do my work with the same happiness as on the first day.

"To the medical team, the fitness coaches, physios, staff, security, cooks, cleaners and to everyone who gave everything possible so that I only had to think about doing what I like most in life: playing football.

"To my team-mates, who welcomed me as if I was family, who helped me in the good moments but especially in the less positive ones. I will take you with me in my heart and I desire you the best success possible.

"To my family and friends, because they've always been there for me.

"And finally, to the fans... I will never forget how you received me, treated me, supported me, especially in the tough times. Thank you! Valencia comes with me in my heart.
