Olympique Lyon defender Marcelo has caught the eye of Barcelona chiefs.

Barca are in the market for a new centre-half after accepting Javier Mascherano wishes to move on this month.

Catalan sources say Barca are taking a close look at Marcelo, who has been a revelation for OL this season.

Barca have already enjoyed success raiding OL in the form of Samuel Umtiti and are ready to move again this time for Marcelo.

Since joining from Besiktas, Marcelo has emerged as a mainstay of OL coach Bruno Genesio's plans and inherited the club captaincy.
